A group of workers on a remote Scottish oil rig are due to return to the mainland when a mysterious fog enshrouds them and supernatural forces take hold.

We were happy to be reunited with friends - VFX Producer Mark Wellband and VFX Supervisor Stephen Coren on The Rig. We completed over 65 visual effects shots over 3 episodes, taking on several sequences involving green screen set extensions featuring the weather and seascape outside of the rig windows, effects covered the evolving weather conditions which are central to the story. We also completed many monitor replacements, digital set enhancements and a variety of clean up shots including reflection and crew removals. We enjoyed creating storytelling visual effects that highlighted the power of mother nature.
